I wonder if she'll go back to fallen angels?

One of my co-workers read this story yesterday and quipped, "Gee, guess her Jesus novels stopped selling!"

It will be interesting to see what stories she will write in the next couple of years.

I dont know Ms Rice, and Ive had conflicted feelings about her literary legacy for a long time. Ive never had the sense, however, that her sudden reverses in gear, and lurches in new and surprising personal and creative directions, were motivated by a desire to sell more books or go on The View and tell her life story to the world.

No, indeed not, Ernie. Her vampires were always very conflicted characters, and I'm sure they were probably accurate expressions of strong parts of her.
